A media darling with an edge, LaDawn has ruled the airwaves most recently gracing New York’s iconic 107.5 WBLS with The LaDawn Black Show, a mix of bold talk, real love, and unapologetic intimacy. Before taking over NYC, she reigned for more than a decade as the host of Baltimore’s #1 relationship radio show on Magic 95.9FM and 92Q, earning honors like Best Guilty Pleasure from Baltimore Magazine and, more importantly, the fierce loyalty of her listeners.

Now, LaDawn is bringing her signature personality and decades of broadcasting experience to television as a

fill-in TV traffic reporter for Baltimore’s WJZ, marking an exciting expansion of her on-air career from radio to local television.

Off the air, LaDawn continues to build her journalism portfolio. She is a freelance writer for The Baltimore Banner’s Arts & Culture section, covering the people, creatives, and stories shaping Baltimore’s cultural landscape. She also works as a freelance writer and editor for WTOP News in Washington, D.C., contributing breaking news and engaging digital journalism for one of the region’s leading news outlets.

LaDawn’s pen has long been a powerful part of her career. She is the author of three books published by Penguin Random House, including Stripped Bare  named one of HuffPost’s Top 10 Nonfiction Books and the fan-favorite Let’s Get It On. Her sensual short-story collection, TEASE, turned up the heat even more, earning an African American Literary Award nomination for Erotica.

And when she’s not writing the story, she’s telling it  literally. LaDawn’s unmistakable voice is in demand, narrating top audiobooks for Audible and lending her signature sound to a variety of audio projects.
